It’s Your Turn… Spring Campaign

Middle School Campaign Guide

SADD chapters have always worked toward educating the schools and community and creating awareness around impaired driving. Since we believe everyone should have a hand in helping save lives, FLORIDA SADD has continued the campaign entitled,

"It's Your Turn..." to let everyone know it’s their turn to do something about it.

This campaign should be used to promote responsible driving by helping to keep impaired drivers off the road. Statistics show more teens are injured or killed during the months of March, April, and May than any other time of the year. FLORIDA SADD hopes you will use this campaign to encourage young drivers to never drive impaired and to help keep impaired drivers off our roads.

Included in this campaign kit are:

  • One 2008 Spring/Summer Activity Guide
  • 10 It’s Your Turn spring campaign posters
  • 25 Frisbees

*The Spring/Summer Activity Guide includes specific dates and activities for each month (January-July). It includes a month-at-a-glance page as well as a detailed list of ideas for chapter activities.

You can use this campaign to team up with other organizations to work on an impaired driving activity together. Explain that "It’s Your Turn…" to help SADD keep impaired drivers off our roads.

Encourage students to participate in the 2008 Middle School It’s Your Turn…" Poster Contest to get them thinking about the importance of not riding with someone who has been drinking. (More information about the poster contest will arrive at a later date)

Write an article for your school and local newspapers explaining how SADD has always worked toward keeping impaired drivers off our roads and offer suggestions on how they can make a difference too.

Before Spring Break, make sure you do some event, like host a Beach Party, to encourage students to have a safe Spring Break.

Make SADD FUN! Think about some activity or event that you can host to show how you can have a good time without the use of drugs or alcohol.

This campaign was created by the FLORIDA SADD Student Advisory Board. The enclosed materials are made possible through a grant from the Florida Department of Transportation.

Although we do not service elementary school SADD chapters, we will send out supplies if we have them available. Elementary school SADD chapters will not receive all the materials due to age appropriateness.
