It's Your Turn!
High School Back-to-School Campaign Guide
SADD chapters have always worked toward educating the schools and community and creating awareness around impaired driving. Since we believe everyone should have a hand in helping save lives, FLORIDA SADD has created a new campaign entitled, "It’s Your Turn…" to let everyone know it’s their turn to do something about it.
This campaign should be used to promote responsible driving by helping to keep impaired drivers off the road. More young people die each year because of traffic accidents and crashes than anything else. FLORIDA SADD hopes you will use this campaign to encourage young drivers to never drive impaired and to help keep impaired drivers off our roads.
Included in this campaign kit are:
- 1 2007 Fall Activity Guide
- 1 2005 Florida Department of Highway Safety Traffic Crash Stats booklet
- 3 sets of 10 It’s Your Turn campaign posters
- 3 It’s Your Turn campaign slicks (Meeting/Events, Homecoming, Weekend)
- 50 Getting and Keeping Your 1st Driver’s License Brochures
- 100 Pencils
- 100 Key Chains
- 100 Car Stickers
- 100 Red Ribbons
- 1 Coffee Mug*
You can use this campaign to team up with other organizations to work on an impaired driving activity together. Explain that "It’s Your Turn…" to help SADD keep impaired drivers off our roads.
Encourage non SADD members to sign the Pledge Posters explaining how they are going to pledge to use their turn. This can be a great opportunity to gain more exposure for your SADD chapter and attract more SADD members.
Have your SGA president or football quarterback signing the pledge poster and video tape them doing so. Use your school’s media to explain why it is important that everyone use their turn to help keep impaired drivers off our roads.
Write an article for your school and local newspapers explaining how SADD has always worked toward keeping impaired drivers off our roads and offer suggestions on how they can make a difference too.
*The coffee mug is for the SADD advisor as a Thank You for the support you provide for the SADD chapter at your school. We appreciate all your hard work and dedication.
This campaign was created by the FLORIDA SADD Student Advisory Board. The enclosed materials are made possible through a grant from the Florida Department of Transportation
